is the first lomotives in the Asian Runer family for the small gauges: 1000 and 1067mm.

Design
The locomotive AR15 is a 6-axle, diesel-electric
locomotive with a Co’Co’ axle arrangement. The operating weight of the locomotive is approximately 81 metric tons with full supplies. This is equal to a load of approximately 13,5 metric tons per axle. |

|
The locomotive features a driver's cab at each end. The carbody is made up of main modules which include the underframe, the driver's cabs with rear walls and the machine compartment. The machine compartment is open at the top to enable easy installation of the equipment. The openings are covered by 3 removable roof segments.

The machinery, the electronic equipment,
the racks and the cabinets are located in the middle of the machinery compartment.
The main side corridor is an unobstructed escape route for the crew in the event of an emergency.

Cables and air pipes are mostly placed in separate conduits under the side corridors so that they are accessible from above. The
driver's cabs are insulated against noise, heat
and low temperatures and have a modern and
ergonomic design |
