Siemens helps shape digitalization for Vietnam 4.0

The SMART INDUSTRY WORLD 2017 hosted by the Vietnamese Central Economic Committee and co-organized by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development, State Bank of Vietnam and IDG ASEAN took place on 4th and 5th December 2017 in Hanoi with a great success.

Being the first of its kind in Vietnam, this event attracted 50 domestic and foreign enterprises participating in an international exhibition, as well as more than 1,500 delegates from public and private sectors for the symposiums.

The major aims of this event were to create a forum for the Party’s advisory agencies, state management agencies, researchers, experts and the business community discuss about the orientations and solutions for the development of smart industry in Vietnam; to establish a strong connection between local and foreign businesses and investors to explore the potential, investment environment and opportunities in the field of smart industry in Vietnam, as well as to showcase latest technologies which can support Vietnam on the way to Industry 4.0.

Siemens has gained a great exposure at this prestigious event. Besides having a 18m2 booth showcasing a range of automation and digitalization technologies across five processes, including Product Design, Production Planning, Production Engineering, Production Execution and Services, Siemens has contributed an interesting presentation on: “Industry 4.0 – Digitalization drives productivity” and actively participated in the executive talk during the opening session of the conference.

 

Siemens Vietnam CEO Pham Thai Lai has also had the opportunity to introduce the Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc about MindSphere – the cloud-based, open IoT operating system from Siemens when he and his delegation visited Siemens pavilion.
