•  500kV Phu Lam substation: Upgrading protection devices of six 110kV feeders
• 220kV Hoc Mon substation: Upgrading protection devices of seven 110kV feeders
• 220kV Long Binh substation: Upgrading protection devices of five 220kV feeders

Innovation

• This is PTC4’s first major upgrade of the protection systems at its key substations
• Using a design from Siemens, PTC4 can assemble protection equipment on its own and,
  thus, cut costs.

Customer benefit

• Siemens has provided PTC4 with training to enable the customer to set relay parameters
  using DIGSI software and commission work via OMICRON test set equipment
• PTC4 can now install Siemens relays in its systems on its own
