• A power plant consisting of two well-tested, reliable gas turbines V94.2 (2x150 MW)
operating in open cycle mode
• The first unit went into operation in December 1998 and the second one in January 1999
• It is the first Siemens KWU turn key gas turbine power plant contract with EVN

Vietnam which can fire mixed fuel
(gas-oil) reliably, effectively and
environment-friendly.

• Plant went on line during the dry season of 1998/1999, helping relieve the dry season’s
power source shortage
• Ability to use mixed fuel enables EVN to maneuver operation mode more flexibly, which is
very important. When gas fuel is insufficient for all gas turbines in the EVN fleet, these gas
_turbines can switch to mixed fuel operation
