Presented at this ceremony were the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Planning and Investment and the Minister of Construction, the Secretary of the Communist Party and the Chairman of the Peoples Committee of CaMau Province and a number of representatives of the project owner, contractors, etc. Mr. Hans Beil, CEO and President of Siemens Vietnam, and the project team of Siemens also took part in this event.
The two combined cycle power plants, CaMau 1 and CaMau 2, will have a total capacity of 1,500 MW. Siemens was awarded contracts to supply main equipment to these power plants. In the near future the power plants will contribute to a sufficient supply of the national power transmission network in order to meet increasing demand of the industrialization trend, and at the same time make CaMau be more attractive for Foreign Direct Investment. “Siemens Vietnam is honored to be part of this historic milestone and will contribute utmost to make this project a success” committed Mr. Hans Beil, CEO and President of Siemens Vietnam, in his speech delivered in this ceremony.
