MV & LV Distribution System of Brewery

I&S of Siemens Ltd. Vietnam in April 2005 got the order for the turn-key supply and installation of the entire LV and MV distribution system for the existing Heineken Brewery in HCMC.

The order comprises of the following detailed scope:
  • LOW VOLTAGE
    * Dismantling of 29 LV panels from ABB
    * Supply and installation of 29 panels SIVACON 8PT. These panels will be bought from one
      of our local A&D panel build partners
    * Supply and installation of 2 Nos. 1600kVA oil filled transformers of local make
    * Rerouting, supply and termination of LV cables of various sizes
    * Engineering, testing and commissioning of the complete system
  • MEDIUM VOLTAGE
    * Dismantling of 24 MV switchgear panels from ABB and Merlin Gerin
    * Supply and installation of 24 panels 8DH10 switchgear including protection. The panels
      will be ordered from PTD M in Germany. * Rerouting and termination of existing MV and  
      control cables of various sizes including the supply of a new earthing system.
    * Engineering, testing and commissioning of the complete system

An additional challenge is very tight shut down periods in order to keep the interruption of ongoing factory processes to a minimum. The detailed description of the intended installation and commissioning processes along with a clear schedule played an important role in getting this order.

All in all this is the first success of Siemens Limited in an external 100% own business case. In addition it is the result of the combined efforts of I&S, PTD M and A&D and hence a perfect example of the advantages of Siemens One and proactive cross-selling. Moreover it is also the business foundation for our newly established Service Team. This order income is also highlighting the importance of building up a functioning service center on the premises of our future A&D factory.
