Two decades have passed since Siemens had its official establishment in Vietnam.
Over the years, Siemens has made considerable contributions to Vietnam's economic development. and we are very proud of our long history as a trusted partner and friend of the people of Vietnam.
Since its first establishment in Vietnam, Siemens has participated in numerous Vietnam’s infrastructure projects and nowadays has a strong presence in many vital sectors of the national economy such as energy, industry and healthcare. Step by step Siemens has positioned itself as the world leading total solution provider, which has answers to Vietnam’s toughest questions.
Siemens continues to contribute extensively to the development of the energy sector in Vietnam and help ease the country severe power shortage by its participation in many key projects such as the construction of 720MW Phu My 3 Combined-Cycle Power Plant (CCPP), 1500MW Ca Mau 1&2 CCPP and recent 750MW Nhon Trach 2 CCPP. It is very encouraging to learn that Siemens has helped bring light to many households in Vietnam, especially in remote areas.
In Healthcare, with state-of-the-art products and reliable services, Siemens has been assisting Vietnamese hospitals and clinics in providing high quality care to Vietnamese people with lower costs, and enabling diagnosis and treatment to be more targeted, more cost-effective and more successful than ever before. The successful installation and operation of the Biograph 64 PET.CT and Cyclotron systems at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City in early 2009 is a very good example of how Siemens’s advanced technology and solutions can help address Vietnam’s question on how to bring the best quality health care system to its people.
Our solutions and technologies have also been deployed and utilized in almost every aspect of Vietnamese industry sector ranging from city infrastructure construction and advanced transportation equipment to automation and drive technology that help boost the country’s fundamental development. We are proud of our outstanding involvement in the construction of My Dinh National Stadium, which is the biggest stadium in Vietnam, as well as in the commission of a number of paper, steel and cement factories, and in the supply of 16 diesel locomotives to Vietnam Railway Corporation.
Looking ahead, we are well aware that we will have to work harder to maintain our sustainable growth, to better serve our customers, as well as to further contribute to Vietnam’s sustainable economic development.
We grow as Vietnam grows.
